Eyes On Broadway - Eyes On The World - Eye Shop
Eyes On Broadway

Our first store, “The Eye Shop”, was established in the early 70's in the heart of the West Village.  It was a beacon to the hip village crowd as well as all tourists to the area who wanted to experience the funkiest and most unusual eyewear of their generation.

We opened “Eyes on the World”, in the World Trade Center, when It was first being built.  We serviced our customers, the busy brokers and conservative bankers at that location for over 25 years.  It was with great sadness we parted when our lease expired just before 9/11.

“Eyes on Broadway” made its debut in NoHo in 1995, where we quickly became the only optical store in the area making the latest designers and fashion trends available to this up and coming neighborhood.  After 16 years, we’re still providing the best in optical services and products, as well as the newest developments in prescription lenses and contact lenses to the many NYU students, people working and living in the area, as well as tourists.

With the closing of our World Trade Center location, we moved further midtown to Lexington Avenue and 54th Street, hence “Eyes on The World of Lexington”.  Here we again cater to a more conservative crowd who nonetheless want the latest in innovation and design.

Although we have three locations, we are, in effect, a small optical company with staff who has worked with us, on average, over 10 years.  Our many years of experience have taught us to deal with people in many walks of life to make the purchase of eyewear a pleasant experience.  Since we don’t advertise, we rely solely on the satisfaction of our customers to refer us to their friends and family.  We hope to continue doing what we do successfully for the many generations to come.
